About Tana and Riri
- Tana and Riri were renowned for their powerful singing abilities, becoming legends in Gujarati folklore.
- Their story is tied to Indian music history—during Emperor Akbar’s reign, Tansen, the famous court musician, sang Raag Deepak, which is said to invoke fire and harm the singer.
- It is believed that Tana and Riri’s voices helped restore Tansen’s health, proving their extraordinary musical talents.
The festival brought their remarkable story to life through music, culture, and performances, highlighting the rich traditions of Gujarat.
